Build strong, long-term relationships with our retail buyers and accounts, distribution partners and consumers. ABOUT US: Wibby Brewing brews tasteful, modern, award-winning lagers in Longmont, Colorado. Our team of brewers combine traditional German brewing principles with American-influenced artisanal brewing techniques using German malts, American hops and water from the Rocky Mountains to create innovative recipes that receive praise around the world. We have a growing distribution footprint in the State of Colorado which is serviced by two wholesale distributors. You can find our award-winning products at DIA, bars, restaurants, on grocery and liquor shelves, at ski resorts, golf courses, concert halls, most beer festivals across Colorado and the invitations beyond. Our brewery campus is nearly a block away with a live performance and event venue hosting national tours, markets and festivals.

JOB SUMMARY:

You will need to maintain strong relationships with our current accounts and aggressively pursue new business. A Wibby Brewing Sales Manager plans, organizes and controls sales functions to achieve our business growth goals. We expect sales managers to use reports and guidelines to execute our strategic sales plans, be accountable for all territory sales activities, develop strong relationships, and work strategically with our business partners and distributor sales representatives to achieve goals in all areas of your territory, use CRM software and other technologies, track sales-related expenses, encourage repeat business, generate new business, provide brand support through market activities and educational events, attend company meetings/events when requested, and conduct your work week as efficiently as possible. Although it is a fun and dynamic industry, we expect Sales Managers to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times as you represent the Wibby Brewing brand.

PREFERRED ABILITIES

  • The self-starter will be based and work primarily in the Front Range and live a reasonable distance from Longmont

  • Ability to represent Wibby Brewing responsibly and professionally at all times

  • Knowledge and appreciation of the craft beer industry and the hospitality industry; knowledge of the three-tier system is a plus

  • Excellent organizational, presentation, communication and problem-solving skills

  • Time management and prioritization skills

  • A strong work ethic when working independently and as part of a team to achieve company-wide goals

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to work with a variety of personalities, seeking common ground and understanding

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office, ease with various software and databases; experience with CRM and/or data entry/mining software is a plus

  • The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment

  • May be available to work as needed based on account contact hours

  • Able to work a flexible schedule outside normal business hours, including some evenings and weekends

  • Inform management of necessary training, equipment needs or product issues within the scope of the position

  • Prepare and deliver requested/required sales documentation on time

  • Organize an effective schedule that includes a daily route and a weekly route of sales calls

  • Maintain and seek new opportunities to increase sales and presence in distribution accounts in assigned territory

  • Maximize POS exposure in our accounts

  • Ensure beer meets established freshness dates at each location

  • Notifies management of any performance below brand standards

  • Set up, execute and participate in in-store promotions, beer dinners and special events with critical retailers that can take place any day of the week and are aimed at boosting sales and distribution

  • Maintain notes of account information, buying habits, goals and contacts in a CRM program (training provided)

  • Ability to use a smartphone to access and effectively use the company’s choice of internal sales software to run reports, place orders and communicate account needs, as well as use the company’s choice of group communication software the company (training provided)

  • Adhere to company-wide security practices and standards (training provided)

GOOD TO HAVE, BUT NOT MANDATORY

  • Licence

  • A few years of experience in a sales or hospitality environment

  • Bonus points for having experience in liquor, distribution, catering and/or hospitality

  • Knowledge of beer, craft beer industry, production of alcoholic beverages of any kind

PHYSICAL ASPECTS YOU MAY ENCOUNTER

  • Frequent trips by car

  • Occasional lifting of items ranging from 25 to 50 lbs.

  • Tasting of alcoholic beverages for quality control

  • Regular visits to bars, restaurants, liquor stores and other hospitality establishments

  • Installation of marketing materials which may require the use of stools or ladders, lifting, bending and stretching

  • Be present in person at the same location for multiple hours as per branded event guidelines or promotions details

Base salary of $40,000 to $45,000 depending on experience

Performance-based bonus payments each quarter based on company sales and distribution targets
