Football Manager 2023 is coming soon.
The game has yet to be officially announced, but all other franchise releases were released in November, and we expect the same for FM23.
The beta releases two weeks before, as tradition dictates, so we’ve looked at some of the best international saves you can make.
This might seem a little counter-intuitive for FM, which is a game that thrives on club management, of course.
But international management can be a quicker and stripped back save, as you qualify for major tournaments, friendlies and the likes of the World Cup, European Championship and European Cup. Africa of Nations.
Here are five of the best international saves you can make when FM23 releases.
England
Yeah. Obviously!
The Lionesses may have brought football home earlier this week, beating Germany in an incredible European Championship final, but the wait for a major men’s trophy continues.
No silver medal has been won since 1966 but the Three Lions are getting closer and closer, reaching the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup and the final of Euro 2020.
Can you end 56 years of suffering?
North Ireland
It’s a good.
It’s a UK country and it’s a real challenge compared to England.
Northern Ireland haven’t reached a World Cup since 1986, when they were knocked out in the group stage after failing to win a game, and have only appeared in the Euros once, in 2016.
Obviously, they never won an international trophy. Can you change that?
Mexico
Mexico has a tournament curse that dates back many years.
They continually reach the World Cup, then advance to the Round of 16, only to be knocked out. It’s happened at every tournament since 1994.
They will also host the 2026 World Cup alongside Canada and the United States, so get automatic entry. Add to that their excellent record in the Gold Cup, which they have won 11 times, and you have a really interesting stoppage.
San Marino
This one is for the masochists.
San Marino are the worst international team in the world. Since their debut in competition, they have played in all the qualifying phases for the World Cup and the Euro. They have never won a match.
Not only is your challenge to end this race, but you must qualify for one of the tournaments. Their only win to date came against Liechtenstein, when they won 1-0 in a friendly in 2004.

Win the first Africa World Cup.
It’s so simple.
Senegal are a team with immense history and some truly excellent players, including world-class Liverpool ace Sadio Mane.
Build around him and try to win the biggest trophy in the game, while winning the AFCON.
This one should be a lot of fun.
