QuikTrip closes Broadway and Murdock location, sells it to Jump Start

“In conjunction with Quick Trip, the property at 730 N Broadway was sold to Jump Start Store this month. The store transition began June 14 and will be completed in July.

“Jump Start is a compelling private label chain of stores offering the only 93 octane – Super Premium fuel in the area. ‘We are thrilled at the opportunity to bring our brand to the heart of Wichita.’ Said Kristin Ghere, Director of Marketing and Business Development for Jump Start, “Customers will soon see our new, state-of-the-art touchscreen pumps at this location. We will reopen on June 15 and plan to maintain the current food service offerings provided at Broadway while featuring our popular offerings. In addition to our 93 octane or flex-fuel technology and fuels, customers will also experience our menu of fountain drinks and $1 coffee. said Ghere.

“When my wife and I sought to start the business six years ago, we saw an opportunity to be the only locally owned convenience store chain in the Wichita area. We pride ourselves on being local and bringing quality products and services to the areas we serve. The new Broadway location supports a wide cross section of our community. As a new neighbor, we worked with various community partners in the area. said Phil Near, president of Jump Start Stores, Inc. The company’s team has contacted members of the city council, the Wichita Police Department’s Homeless Outreach Team, Comcare, and is working in working closely with the Union Rescue Mission to better serve the diverse population of clients in the downtown area. “We look forward to the opportunity to make an impact.” said Cheryl Near, owner of Jump Start Stores, Inc.
